Saw the article on the FP about the kid clocked at 146 mph in his Neon. Made me think of this guy. I think he’s making 650 hp in this thing. One of the fastest fwd cars in the states.Damn were these a performance bargin.

Apparently I had the worst SRT4 ever built. It spent most of the time I had it broken in one way or another, which wasn’t helped by my local Dodge dealer being super incompetent. When it was right though, that thing went like hell. Handled pretty good, too.

Essentially this. It was the angriest sounding engine I’ve ever owned, and I’m nearly positive that it sounded like that because it was really mad somebody put it in a Neon.

A friend of mine had an SRT4. I always thought they just came broken as a standard feature from the factory. When it was working, it was a lot of fun.
